August

There is so much going on in Corinth this month!

August 7 at 7pm Rachel Clothier of the Corinth Museum will be here at the library giving a program on Corinth’s History Mysteries: Solved and Unsolved.  Rachel always has great photos to share as well as interesting information on Corinth’s past.  This program is part of the library’s events to celebrate the Town of Corinth’s Bicentennial.

August 10 at 1pm is the Summer Reading Wrap-up Party.  All who successfully completed our Summer Reading Challenge are invited to attend to pick up their certificates and prizes.  During the party the prizes for our Historical Marker Scavenger Hunt will be awarded.  If you haven’t turned in your Historical Marker sheet please do so by the end of business on Thursday August 9 (8:30pm) in order to be eligible for the drawing.

Story time this month continues on Saturdays at 10:30am.

The library will be closing early on Saturday August 18 (open 9-12noon only) in order to allow us to get to our line-up spot for the Bicentennial Parade.  Look for our float in the parade – we’ll be waving at you!  After the parade join us at the Corinth Beach for speeches and awarding of parade prizes as well as awarding of prizes for the Bicentennial Fire Hydrant Decorating Contest sponsored by the Friends of the Corinth Free Library.

Science Monday is August 27 at 7pm.  Join us as we have some cool new science things to play with!
