Minutes of the Board of Trustees
July 6, 2026
President Rose Farr called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM.
Members present: Jane Pingelski, Cathy Lozier, Rose Farr, Brittney Campbell, Mo Kelly, and Librarian Rebecca Fasulo. Kari Turcotte excused.
Minutes of the previous meeting: Minutes from the April 6 meeting were read. A motion was made by Brittney and seconded by Cathy to accept the minutes. The motion was carried with all in favor.
Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer’s report was read and discussed. A motion was made by Brittney and seconded by Mo to approve all paid bills. A motion was made by Rose and seconded by Mo to accept the treasurer’s report with corrections made. The motion was carried with all in favor.
Librarian’s Report: The Librarian’s report was presented with highlights as follows:
- Summer Reading Program with reading challenge and musical guests is underway.
- Annual Book Sale July 25
A motion was made by Mo and seconded by Rose to accept the librarian’s report. The motion was carried with all in favor.
Old Business:
- Trustee Training: Reminder to board members to check the SALS website for training opportunities. Give information to Becky as soon as training is completed. 2 hours of training are required each year.
- Treasurer: Treasurer Cathy Lozier has moved to Queensbury.
A motion was made to accept Kari Turcotte as the new treasurer and Lori Campbell as assistant treasurer.
- Library’s 100th: Committee met on April 20th. A schedule of events was set up to commemorate, throughout the 2027 year, significant events in the library’s formation.
- Jan. 4: Birthday Party to coincide with 1st Board Meeting. Birthday cake; flyers and bookmark handouts. Invite the mayor.
- March 31: Open House to coincide with registration from the state. Basket raffle
- May Memorial Day Parade: Hand out books to kids to coincide with dedication of new building.
- Oct.: Trunk or Treats; Spooky story on train ride.
- Dec.: Hometown Christmas, book giveaway.
Next committee meeting TBD for Aug.
New Business:
- Captain:
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Corinth Free Library to give permission to the Captain service program to serve meals from a tent behind the library.
Motion is made by Brittney and seconded by Cathy
Those in favor: Jane, Cathy, Mo, Brittney, Rose
Those against: None
Motion carried with all in favor.
They will serve meals on M, T, TH, FRI from 7/92026 to 9/4/2026. They will set up and clean up. A certificate of insurance will be provided.
- Ramp: We are looking into recommendations for what needs to be done to renovate the ramp at the rear of the library.
- Policies: Policies are being reviewed and will be updated as needed.
Law Enforcement Inquiries Policy was reviewed and discussed.
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Corinth Free Library to adopt the Law Enforcement Inquiries Policy as presented.
Motion was made by Rose and seconded by Mo

Those against: None
Motion carried with all in favor.
The following policies will be checked to see if any changes need to be made and then updated: Rules of Conduct, Disaster Policy, Hudson River Public Use Policy.
Unattended Children Policy and Temporary Borrowers Policy will be checked to see if they are needed as separate policies or can be incorporated as part of another policy.
Adjournment: The motion was made by Mo and seconded by Rose with all in favor to adjourn the meeting at 8:49 PM.
