Mask and new guidance from CDC

The CDC has recently changed how it calculates community transmission of COVID 19 and adjusted its guidance accordingly. Our Safety Policy directs us to follow CDC guidance therefore Facemasks are now optional in the library. However, facemasks are still required in the Children’s Room until we are able to install an air purification system there. Additionally staff will continue to wear facemasks when engaging with the public.

People with symptoms, or who are positive for COVID 19, or who have been exposed to COVID 19 should wear a facemask.

Not accepting book donations

Just a reminder that we are not yet accepting donations of books or other materials at this time. Leaving items outside while we are closed is not helpful. Snow, sleet, rain, etc. are very bad for books making the items only good for the trash.

Special Board Meeting

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees on Monday February 28 at 7pm. The only agenda item is for the board to receive the library’s Annual Report to NY State prior to submission. The report is available for viewing at the library. This meeting is being held remotely. If you would like to attend please contact the library for the log-in information.
