2019 – It’s January!

The holidays are over, winter is here. That means it’s time for Board Games! And Puzzles!

Thursdays in January and February is Board Game day at the library. we play from 2:30 – 4. We have lots of games available or you can bring one from home.

We have a puzzle set up for your puzzling pleasure. Bring a cup of coffee and while away some free time.

Monday the 28th at 7pm is Science Night. Come mess around with Legos, marble mazes, rockets and other cool stuff.

Drop in with your family and small children on Saturday mornings at 10:30 for a story time experience!

After Labor Day we return to our Regular Hours – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 11-5 & 7-8:30; Friday 9:30-4; and Saturday 10-4.

The library is now offering Kanopy.  Library card holders can access Kanopy and sign up to start streaming films  instantly by visiting http://corflib.kanopy.com. Films can be streamed on any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku.

The Corinth Free Library in conjunction with Stephen Cernek of the Hudson River Mill Museum has received an Action Grant from Humanities New York to support a series of public programs called Reuniting a Community With Its History: Three Centuries of Life and Work on the Hudson River in Corinth.   The series will consist of five programs to be held at the Corinth Free Library, two scholar led walks along the Hudson River in Corinth that will discuss interpretive panels to be installed by the Village of Corinth, and a Community Conversation that will invite citizens to discuss ideas about current and future uses of the Hudson River in Corinth.   Call for more information or to register for a program. Programs scheduled for September:

Monday September 10 at 7pm.  Well-known author Joseph Bruchac will present “Bill Greenfield Was Here: An Evening of Adirondack Songs and Tales.”

Monday, September 24 at 7pm Timothy Widener, Executive Director of the Chapman Museum, will discuss the development of the hydro-electric plant at Spier Falls in 1903.

Saturday, September 29 at 2pm Stephen Cernek will lead a walk along the Hudson River beginning at the library.

Saturday September 15 is Batman Day – stop in for a surprise.

On Tuesday September 25 for National Voter Registration Day representatives from the League of Women Voters will be at the library from 12-4 to help people register to vote.
