Censorship in Schools and Libraries

Currently on display for the month of April on our main floor is the exhibit “Censorship in Schools and Libraries.” This travelling illustrated journal about the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and its significance in public libraries and public schools is an educational project developed by the Long Island Coalition Against Censorship. The exhibit documents 32 important incidents of censorship in public libraries and public schools that have occurred nationally.
