We will be closed on Monday January 20 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. (Don’t forget – the catalog and ematerials are available 24/7 on our website.)

Monday January 27 at 7 pm its Science Night at the Library. Join us for fun activities and learn the science behind them.

It’s January so that means board games…or tabletop games as they are now being called. Thursdays after school til 4 pm we play a variety of games. Board Game club runs through the end of February.

If cabin fever is setting in, stop by and work on our current puzzle. If you are not a jigsaw fan but want a change of scenery come read the paper or a magazine or bring your knitting. BYOC (bring your own coffee).

Hour of Code

Saturday, December 14 from 1pm-3pm. Dr. Christine Reilly, Assistant Professor of computer science at Skidmore College, will be here showing children fun things they can do with computer coding.

Code a computer game! Write a secret message! Draw pictures like a computer!

This event is free and open to all.

The Hour of Code is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week (csedweek.org) and Code.org (code.org) to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.
