Summer Reading 2018

Corinth 200

This year’s Summer Reading Program will keep with the spirit of our Town’s Bicentennial celebration. We’ll start with sign-ups (the old fashioned way: in person at the Library!) beginning on June 23^rd, and then each reader will have until August 10^th to finish and give a brief oral report on five books. After that, prizes and a party!

Special events will include Civil War Camp Life with re-enactor David Otto (July 10^th at 1:00), Saratoga County Waterworks with Anne Clothier (July 17^th at 1:00), River of the Mountains: The Hudson in Story and Song (July 24^th at 1:00) and the afore-mentioned party on August 10^th.

Also throughout the summer, we’ll be having a Historical Marker Scavenger Hunt: Get the details when you sign up!

Summer Hours to Start July 1st

The Corinth Free Library will switch to Summer Hours on Saturday July 1. The Summer schedule will remain in effect until after Labor Day. The Summer Hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-3:30pm & 7pm-8:30pm; Friday 9am-4pm; Saturday 9am-1pm.

There will be a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Corinth Free Library on Monday July 9 at 7pm.

June 2018

We are continuing to highlight aspects of Corinth’s history with special displays in our case to celebrate the Town of Corinth’s Bicentennial. This month our display is the history of education in Corinth with items from CCS. Also in the case is a selection of the painted rocks that will be part of the scavenger hunt in August.

Our Summer Reading Program starts on Saturday June 23 with sign ups at the library. Our theme this summer is Corinth 200 in celebration of the Town of Corinth’s bicentennial. When you sign up check out the list of special events through out the summer.

Have fun with Corinth’s history and take part in our Historical Marker Scavenger Hunt. It starts on Saturday June 23 and runs until Friday August 10. Stop in to check out the rules and pick up your entry.

Science Monday is June 25 at 7 pm. Join us to explore with 3-D mazes, robots, circuits, Legos and more.

We will be at the Town of Corinth’s Fun Day on Wednesday June 27. Sign up for Summer Reading or just say hello.

Story time for young children is Saturday June 16, 23, and 30 at 10:30.
