May 2018

We are continuing to highlight aspects of Corinth’s history with special displays in our case to celebrate the Town of Corinth’s Bicentennial.  This month our display is the history of the Corinth Free Library and how we have been serving the community since 1926.  Also in the case is a selection of the painted rocks that will be part of the scavenger hunt in August.

Story time this month is on May 5 and May 12 at 10:30 am.  There will be no story time on May 19 or 26 due to staff vacation time.

We will be at the Corinth Elementary Open House on May 15 with information about our upcoming summer programs.  Stop and say hi when you are there voting or checking out your child’s classroom.

On Monday May 21 we will be open from 11-5 ONLY…there are no evening hours that day.  Staff and board members will be attending the Annual Meeting of the Southern Adirondack Library System.

We will be closed on Monday May 28 for Memorial Day.

200 years – 200 rocks

Our display case has a selection of the beautiful painted rocks that will be used in the Corinth Bicentennial scavenger hunt August 11-18. If you know someone who’s not on200_rocksline and wants to see them, send them down to the library.

March

Well, March came in like a lion.  Maybe that means that by the end of the month it will look like spring.

Don’t forget Story Time for children and their families is now on Saturdays at 10:30, however there is no story time on March 24.

Michael will be reading to classes at the Corinth Elementary School this month.

Science Monday is Monday March 26 at 7pm.  Come play with gravity on our new marble maze.
