Adirondack Programs

The Corinth Free Library will present two programs on architectural aspects of the Adirondack region.  On September 20 Historic Bridges of the Adirondacks explores the incredible variety of historic bridges that are found in the region.  On September 27 There’s More to Adirondack Architecture than Great Camps will go beyond the Great Camp architecture well known in the Adirondacks to explore lesser known building types. Steven Engelhart, the executive director of Adirondack Architectural Heritage, will present slide lectures that will open our eyes to the distinct character of the architectural heritage of the Adirondacks.  Both programs will be on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at the library.  The programs are free and open to the public.   For more information contact the Corinth Free Library by stopping in at 89 Main St. or calling 654-6913.

Summer’s End

Despite the nice weather, summer is going fast.  We have one more week of summer hours.  We’ll be closed on Monday September 5 for Labor Day.  Tuesday September 6 we return to our regular hours (check the hours tab for details).

If you haven’t had a chance to pick up your summer reader packet, please do that this week.

Summer Reading is coming to an end.

As August winds down, so does our Summer Reading Program.  On this last week of Summer Reading we are building rockets on Tuesday (8/16) from 10-12; building with LilBits & Legos on Thursday (8/18) at 1pm; and holding the big wrap up on Saturday (8/20).  Saturday’s events include a visit from Southpaw – the mascot of the TriCity ValleyCats baseball team at 11am with stories and fun.  The wrap up party starts at 12 and people who finished the challenge of reading and reporting on at least 5 books will receive a certificate and some prizes.

There is still time to be invited to the party!  Click on Summer Reading and get those reports in.  Reports can be entered until noon on Saturday August 20.IMG_0066
