November 2021

The days are growing darker as we head toward next month’s solstice. In the meantime we are enjoying the geese and other waterfowl on the river and the foliage as it slides from blazing color to more subdued tones with more of the leaves on the ground than on the trees.

We will be closed on Thursday November 11 for Veterans Day and Thursday November 25 for Thanksgiving.

The Farm 2 Library program is over for this year. We hope to resume again in the spring. There are still some shelf-stable items and a little bit of produce that is available anytime that we are open.

We will be having Take and Make Kits for the kids available shortly.

While we still have a few COVID protocols in place (please wear a facemask while in the building) we are open for our full schedule of hours and most areas in the library are available to the public. Anyone who prefers curbside pickup of items just needs to call ahead.

Closed Saturday September 25

The library will be closed on Saturday September 25, 2021. Staff will be participating in training & development activities that day. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Schedule change

The remaining three Story Time sessions will be at 1pm on Thursdays. (September 23, 30 and October 7). They will be held in our backyard so are weather dependent. Check for announcements on our Facebook page, or call to check.

September news

The library is closed Monday September 6 for Labor Day.

Tuesday September 7 our hours will be 10am-1pm & 7pm-8:30pm. Staff will be at the CCS Elementary Pop-up Event in the afternoon where we will hand out free books to children.

There will be a 4 week long session of Story Time programs beginning Thursday September 16 at 10:30am. These programs are for young children and their caregivers. They will take place outside on the library’s back lawn. There is no advanced registration. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on and watch for any weather-related cancelations.

Our Farm 2 Library program continues in September. Food deliveries are on Thursdays. Stop in and help yourself to free produce. We love providing this service to you with our partners Comfort Food Community and the Southern Adirondack Library System.
