Browsing is back! Starting 9/8/20

Our re-opening plan includes a phased approach to returning to normal library service. As we all know, anything can change at any time so our plans may change as well.

As of Tuesday September 8 the library will allow browsing and public computer use.  A limited number of public computers will be available for use.  There will be a strict time limit and people are strongly suggested to call ahead for an appointment.  There will be a browsing area that will be stocked with items from all parts of the library.  Due to distancing regulations there will be a limited number of people allowed to browse at one time and a time limit will be in place to allow access to the largest number of people possible.  Calling ahead or making an appointment are recommended.  People will be required to use hand sanitizer before using the computers or browsing.  People will be required to wear a facemask and to conform to social distancing while in the building.  Curbside pick-up of library materials will still be available for those who prefer.  Those who need to use the ramp in the back should knock for entry through the back door.

Other services available at the desk include faxing, photocopying, e-printing, catalog access, indoor pick up of requested materials, and library account services such as new cards.

Also available: produce through our Farm2Library program. All produce is fresh and local…and it’s free thanks to the Southern Adirondack Library System and Comfort Food Community.

Masks are required in the building.  Please maintain proper distancing while in the library.  Hand sanitizing stations are available in the building.

Please continue to put all returned materials in the book drop.  Please do not bring us donations at this time!  We cannot manage donations right now.

Returns will be quarantined for 96 hours and then checked in. Don’t worry about items you’ve returned that are still on your account…they will come off the account after their quarantine is over.

Curbside service will still be available for those who prefer it.  Call 518-654-6913 for help with setting that up.

Service Hours Beginning September 8, 2020.

  • Monday from 10am to 4:30pm and 7pm to 8pm
